Good thing (almost) that I wore it before washing, (I say 'almost' because the red rubbed off on all of my undergarments) but I needed it that evening for a casual red, white and blue theme party. Then, I washed it. As shown in the pictures, it is machine washable on cold and tumble dry on low. After it came out of the wash, I did not put it in my dryer. It is no longer a red, white and blue dress - it is red PURPLE and blue. The sequins fell off in my washer and all over the laundry room floor; left little glue? dots all over the dress; and then notice that one side of the dress is 26" from armpit but the other side is 23" from armpit. It was cute. It was exactly what I needed for that evening. But, yeah - my bad, I should have known better. I hope this review gives you pause to "know better".
